About MeAbout
I'm a Desinger and an artist
Hello There, I'm Syed Asad.
My name is Syed Asad, and I am a Graphic Designer specializing in Artworking for Pharmaceutical Packaging and Labelling. Please find some brief information about my career below.
MY JOURNEY
I started my career in July 2007 as a Junior Web and Graphic
designer at Abrif software solution. My responsibilities
included supporting both the web and graphic teams in
designing website layouts, performing website HTML conversion
(slicing), creating logos, and designing print products such
as brochures, business cards, thank you cards, banners,
customized letterheads, faxes, and stationery, among others.
In May 2011, I began freelancing from home. During my
freelance work, I focused on designing brochures, websites,
posters, adverts, and exhibition graphics. I provided
print-ready files to clients for printing and also created and
maintained graphics for company websites.
In 2014, I received an offer from Al Raja Printing Press in
Saudi Arabia as a prepress designer. In this role, my
responsibilities included preparing files for printing
(Pre-press) and ensuring that the artwork was in the proper
format and appearance. I determined page layout, color format,
fonts, graphics quality, and made sure that text and images
were properly set before the full print run. I also ensured
that the artwork had appropriate bleeds and gripper, added
crop marks and color bars as necessary, sent press-ready
documents and final layouts to both the rip and press
stations, and provided mock-ups to the pressman while
coordinating printing schedules.
I created artwork for prepress and production design for both
large and small format printing, including tasks such as color
matching, size reformatting, and adding die cuts. I also
conducted quality checks on created artworks before sending
them to the printing press for mass printing. I possess strong
systematic knowledge of color separation, bleeding, and other
print-related technical troubleshooting areas.
In 2016, I returned to India and joined Freyr Solutions as a
Senior Graphic Designer. In this role, I manage changes
required in product packaging based on customer briefs and
adapt customer artwork to new packaging by converting the
source language into different languages (such as Hebrew,
Arabic, Urdu, etc.) The artwork I create must be 100%
accurate.
My responsibilities at Freyr Solutions also include completing
artwork for packaging components and ensuring they are
available to meet submission and production schedules. I
proofread text for labeling of pharmaceutical products as
required by regulatory guidelines and ensure that labeling
artwork and proofs meet all medical, legal, and regulatory
requirements. Additionally, I ensure the accuracy of
commercial packaging components and maintain regulatory
compliance, accuracy, timely completion, and version control
of all new and revised text on labeling components. I
continuously coordinate, monitor, and expedite labeling
changes to meet established deadlines for submission and
production, including support for product launches. I ensure
that all typesetting of packaging components, including text,
graphics, chemical structures, barcodes, etc., adhere to
medical guidelines and standards. Once again, I possess strong
systematic knowledge of color separation, bleeding, and other
print-related technical troubleshooting areas.
